BLS-R Skills Session Only | BLS-R Skills Sessions ONLY for Blended Learning Building 10 | DescriptionThis course is the AHA Heart Code Basic Life Support Renewal Course. This course is intended for those who have previously taken an AHA BLS Course. Successful completion of the course is indicated by passing both the ONLINE Heart Code BLS Course and practical skills demonstration. CPR is a physically demanding skill. Please dress accordingly. The AHA requires that students are present for the entirety of the course in order to receive a course completion card. As such, late admittance and early dismissal will not be permitted once the class has started. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive their digital e-card within 7 business days of course completion. Students will receive an email from ecards@heart.org to claim their card. Occasionally, the NIH firewall will filter this email to a student's junk/spam. BCT | Basic Cardiac Telemetry 2024 | DescriptionThis one-day course designed to provide an introduction to ECG interpretation for those that have little or no experience, as well as a great refresher for those that need to renew their skills for working in a telemetry monitoring environment. The course includes: A & P, basic electro-physiology, sinus mechanisms, atrial rhythms, junctional rhythms, ventricular rhythms, AV blocks, and pacemaker rhythms. Additionally, special emphasis will be placed on lead placement (bedside monitor and telemetry), central monitoring, and nursing documentation.
