    BLS-R Skills Session Only BLS-R Skills Sessions ONLY for Blended Learning Building 10

    Description

    This course is the AHA Heart Code Basic Life Support Renewal Course. This course is intended for those who have previously taken an AHA BLS Course. Successful completion of the course is indicated by passing both the ONLINE Heart Code BLS Course and practical skills demonstration. CPR is a physically demanding skill. Please dress accordingly. The AHA requires that students are present for the entirety of the course in order to receive a course completion card. As such, late admittance and early dismissal will not be permitted once the class has started. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive their digital e-card within 7 business days of course completion. Students will receive an email from ecards@heart.org to claim their card. Occasionally, the NIH firewall will filter this email to a student's junk/spam.     Description

    Specialty nursing certification is the validation of nurses' advanced knowledge and experience in the specialty.     AHA Heart Saver Adult CPR/AED Lay Responder AHA Heart Saver Adult CPR/AED Bldg 31C

    Description

    Lay Responder AED/CPR teaches individuals (not healthcare providers) critical skills needed to respond to and manage adult choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the next few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. CPR training is for full time NIH federal employees and contractors with a valid NIH ID only.     ONS/ONCC CB NEW Provider ONS/ONCC NEW PROVIDERS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate Course with CCND Bridge-to-Practice

    Description

    The online Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Certificate Program provides nurses with a comprehensive overview of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. The in-person Bridge to Practice sessions review NIH specific policies and procedures related to chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration at NIH. The ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate is obtained after successful completion of the course including a course exam. An 80% or higher must be achieved on the exam before an RN can receive the certificate. The provider card is valid for two years. The Clinical Center Nursing Department (CCND) program of care competency for chemotherapy and biotherapy requires successful completion of a chemotherapy course including an examination and clinical practicum (to be completed on the patient care unit) prior to administering chemotherapy or biotherapy.

    This course is reserved for Clinical Center Nursing Department RNs administering chemotherapy or immunotherapy at NIH to adult patients with oncology and non-oncology diagnoses.

    ONS/ONCC RENEWAL CB BTP ONS/ONCC RENEWAL Chemo/Immunotherapy Certificate Course with CCND Bridge-to-Practice

    Description

    This renewal course is designed specifically for nurses who have taken the online ONS/ONCC Chemo/Immunotherapy Certificate Course and who have a current/valid provider card.

    This course is offered monthly on the first Thursday of every month unless otherwise indicated. January 2025 will be held on January 9, 2025. Participants must enroll in a course date offered in Class Track PRIOR to the expiration date on their ONS/ONCC Chemo/Immunotherapy Provider Card.

    The ONS/ONCC RENEWAL Chemo/Immunotherapy Certificate Course will guide you through four strategically planned case studies to ensure your Chemo/Immunotherapy knowledge is current related to pharmacology, safe handling of hazardous drugs, as well as patient education and symptom management.
