ACLSO ACLS Online Session for Code Team/PVCS RNs

Description

This class is for CCND CODE TEAM/PVCS RNs. IF YOU DO NOT FIT THIS DESCRIPTION, PLEASE SIGN UP FOR ACLS-Instructor-led INSTEAD OF THIS CLASS. This is the online/in-person hybrid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) renewal and initial certification for the health care provider. All class sessions are held on unit or in the location agreed upon by unit leadership and the participant. Learners complete the class material online and must also complete an in-person skills verification in a separate session via the Department of Perioperative Medicine (DPM). BCTC Basic Cardiac Telemetry Course

Description

This one-day course designed to provide an introduction to ECG interpretation for those that have little or no experience, as well as a great refresher for those that need to renew their skills for working in a telemetry monitoring environment. The course includes: A & P, basic electro-physiology, sinus mechanisms, atrial rhythms, junctional rhythms, ventricular rhythms, AV blocks, and pacemaker rhythms. Additionally, special emphasis will be placed on lead placement (bedside monitor and telemetry), central monitoring, and nursing documentation. Successful completion of this course will meet the required behavioral indicator (BI) required for Cardiac Monitoring Competency validation

This course is AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider (previously "Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers). This course is for those that have not taken Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers previously or for those whose certification has expired. This class will last approximately 5 hours. All course materials (outlines, textbooks etc.) will be supplied at class. Successful completion of the course includes passing both a written and practical skills test. Please note: Digital e-Cards will be issued for this class, within 7 BUSINESS DAYS of the conclusion of the class. Students will receive an invitation from: ecards@heart.org, to claim their card. This invitation will be sent to the e-mail address the student entered on the physical roster/sign-in sheet at the class. IV Blood Workshop

Description

This one day workshop provides information on intravenous therapy, venipuncture, venous access devices (VADs), and blood administration, as well as opportunity for some hands-on skills practice. Prior to attendance, the participant prepares by completing the required CRN or PCT Pre-Workshop Activity. This course is now taking place in a blended format due to COVID-19 precautions.
