BCTC | Basic Cardiac Telemetry Course | DescriptionThis one-day course designed to provide an introduction to ECG interpretation for those that have little or no experience, as well as a great refresher for those that need to renew their skills for working in a telemetry monitoring environment. The course includes: A & P, basic electro-physiology, sinus mechanisms, atrial rhythms, junctional rhythms, ventricular rhythms, AV blocks, and pacemaker rhythms. Additionally, special emphasis will be placed on lead placement (bedside monitor and telemetry), central monitoring, and nursing documentation. BLS | Basic Life Support (BLS) Renewal Training (Bldg 10 Staff Only) | DescriptionThis class is Basic Life Support renewal for the health care provider. AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). CRC | Cardiology Review Course | DescriptionOnline self-paced cardiology course that will review normal and dysfunctional cardiac anatomy, physiology, assessment and electrophysiology. The course will include eight on-line case studies requiring individual response and scholarly discussion with peers regarding their response. The course will be facilitated and faculty will be available throughout for question and/or clarification. Upon completion of the course, participants will register for a simulation activity to demonstrate knowledge and skills obtained from this review course. A pre- and post- knowledge assessment will be required. Surveys of the course and simulation activities will be required prior to contact hours being awarded. No partial credit will be awarded.
