ACLSO ACLS Online Session for Code Team/PVCS RNs

Description

This class (for CCND Code Team/PVCS RNs) is the online/in-person hybrid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) renewal and initial certification for the health care provider. All class sessions are held on unit or in the location agreed upon by unit leadership and the participant. Learners complete the class material online and must also complete an in-person skills verification in a separate session via the Department of Perioperative Medicine (DPM). A link to register for the DPM skills verification session is in the special comments section of this class listing. Unless otherwise noted, all online class sessions are held on-campus in a location determined by your unit leadership.

BCTC Basic Cardiac Telemetry Course

Description

This one-day course designed to provide an introduction to ECG interpretation for those that have little or no experience, as well as a great refresher for those that need to renew their skills for working in a telemetry monitoring environment. The course includes: A & P, basic electro-physiology, sinus mechanisms, atrial rhythms, junctional rhythms, ventricular rhythms, AV blocks, and pacemaker rhythms. Additionally, special emphasis will be placed on lead placement (bedside monitor and telemetry), central monitoring, and nursing documentation. Successful completion of this course will meet the required behavioral indicator (BI) required for Cardiac Monitoring Competency validation

This course is AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider (previously "Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers). This course is for those that have not taken Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers previously or for those whose certification has expired. This class will last approximately 5 hours. All course materials (outlines, textbooks etc.) will be supplied at class. Successful completion of the course includes passing both a written and practical skills test. Please note: Digital e-Cards will be issued for this class, within 7 BUSINESS DAYS of the conclusion of the class. Students will receive an invitation from: ecards@heart.org, to claim their card. This invitation will be sent to the e-mail address the student entered on the physical roster/sign-in sheet at the class. Occasionally, the NIH firewall will kick this e-mail to a student's junk/spam box. Remember to check the e-mail put on the roster, junk and spam on a regular basis. CRC Cardiology Review Course

Description

Online self-paced cardiology course that will review normal and dysfunctional cardiac anatomy, physiology, assessment and electrophysiology. The course will include eight on-line case studies requiring individual response and scholarly discussion with peers regarding their response. The course will be facilitated and faculty will be available throughout for question and/or clarification. Upon completion of the course, participants will register for a simulation activity to demonstrate knowledge and skills obtained from this review course. A pre- and post- knowledge assessment will be required. Surveys of the course and simulation activities will be required prior to contact hours being awarded. No partial credit will be awarded.
