Description
This 4-hour workshop prepares nurses to teach content and help promote a culture of preparedness among all staff to clinical emergencies.
Target Audience
RNs committed to assisting other staff members learn, grow and demonstrate effective response to clinical emergencies.
Course Objectives
1. Demonstrate the knowledge, ability and skills required to successfully Clinical Emergency Response 2. Learn training methods for promoting skill development, critical thinking and evaluation of response to a clinical emergency. 3. Increase familiarity with available Code Blue Trainer resources 4. Verbalize understanding of requirements for Code Blue Trainers
Pre-requisites
Current Basic Life Support Certification, Clinical Emergency Response competency and Nurse Manager recommendation
