Description
This 8-hour training is based on the Pediatric ELNEC curriculum, a program developed by national experts in pediatric pain and palliative care from the City of Hope and the AACN (American Association of Colleges of Nursing).

Target Audience
Healthcare providers working with pediatric patients and their families.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course, learners will: 1) Define pediatric palliative care, 2) Recognize and manage symptoms, 3) Describe effective communication strategies for end-of-life discussions, 4) Apply spiritual, cultural, and ethical principles in pediatric EOL, 5) Understand the role of the Child Life Specialist at the EOL, 6) Identify strategies for mental health support, and 7) Recognize the importance of self-care.
