This two-day course is designed to provide information on topics related to the management of patients with problems of the endocrine system.

Target Audience
This course is designed for nurses with an interest in learning about clinical endocrinology.
Course Objectives
Attendee will be able to: 1. Describe the function of the endocrine system 2. Discuss the pathophysiology, etiology and incidence of endocrine dysfunction (e.g. Cushing’s disease or thyroid cancer) 3. Identify laboratory tests that aid in the diagnosis of endocrine abnormalities 4. Discuss the nursing management of patients with endocrine system dysfunction.
