Class Information for Trach Skills and Competency Validation Session
Description
This 60 minute session will provide an opportunity to practice skills related to routine trach care and maintenance, as well as to simulate trach emergency management. Participants must complete an online Tracheostomy NEW/Orientation : Nursing Care and Management Course in the Absorb LMS prior to attending the skills session.

Participants will NOT be able to participate in the in-person skills and competency validation session if they have not completed Tracheostomy NEW/Orientation: Nursing Care and Management Course in the Absorb LMS prior to attending.
Target Audience
Nurses NEW to the CCND Tracheostomy Competency.
Course Objectives
Review routine care skills for Trachs. Respond to simulated Trach emergency scenarios.
Pre-requisites
Tracheostomy NEW/Orientation : Nursing Care and Management Course in the Absorb LMS. When staff register for a skills session here, they will be registered for the Absorb course within 48 hours and will receive a separate confirmation email from Absorb.
