Class Information for CCND Abstract & Poster Development Workshop
Description
This workshop will prepare CCND nursing staff with the knowledge required to create high quality abstracts and poster for submission to professional conferences.
Contact Hours
Contact hours will be awarded to those who attend the entire course and complete the course evaluation. This activity has been approved by the Maryland Nurses Association to award contact hours. The Maryland Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission of Accreditation. Program speakers and coordinators have no relevant financial relationships, conflicts of interest, commercial support or non-commercial sponsorship relating to this course. Target Audience
CCND nursing staff interested in learning more about abstract development, poster design, and the approval process.
Course Objectives
1. Discuss strategies and writing techniques designed to improve the organization and quality of an abstract. 2. Describe fundamental poster design concepts, as they relate to developing and presenting a high quality professional poster. 3. Apply knowledge of abstract and/or poster design using a simulated or actual participant poster or abstract.
