Class Information for Basic Life Support Renewal (BLS-R) Course: Building 31C

Description

This course is AHA Basic Life Support Renewal Course. (BLS-R) (previously "Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Renewal"). This course is for those that have an unexpired AHA BLS Provider certification. This unexpired AHA BLS Provider Certification must be presented to the instructor when arriving at the class session. This class will last approx. 2 hours. All course materials (outlines, textbooks etc.) will be supplied at class. In order to pass the AHA BLS Provider Renewal Course, the AHA requires that each student successfully complete both a written exam and practical skills test. Failure to successfully complete any component of the course will result in failure of the course and a certification will not be issued. CPR is a physically demanding skill. Be prepared to perform CPR on the classroom floor. Dress accordingly. Comfortable attire is suggested; restrictive attire is discouraged. If you require glasses to read or see at a distance, please bring those with you to class. **Special Note re: OPM status: If the OPM daily status is Red or Yellow, class will not be held. Your registration will be removed so that you may register for another session. (this does not apply to appropriation-related yellow status)**

This course is for those that have an unexpired AHA BLS Provider certification. This unexpired AHA BLS Provider Certification must be presented to the instructor when arriving at the class session. All course materials (outlines, textbooks etc.) will be supplied at class. In order to pass the AHA BLS Provider Renewal Course, the AHA requires that each student successfully complete both a written exam and practical skills test. Failure to successfully complete any component of the course will result in failure of the course and a certification will not be issued. CPR is a physically demanding skill.
