Description

This four hour course will provide an overview for Clinical Center staff working with Research Participants on the Hospice Unit. It is an opportunity for interdisciplinary staff to learn about End-of-Life care at the Clinical Center. These courses are intended for nurses who are caring for patients on the 3 SEN Hospice unit.

Target Audience: Clinical Center Staff from the following departments - Social Work, Spiritual Care, Rehab Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Medicine, Ethics. or other disciplines

Course Objectives

By the end of the session participants will: 1. Describe the Hospice Unit mission, vision, and philosophy 2. Identify role expectations for interdisciplinary team members at the End-of-Life
