Class Information for CCND Abstract and Poster Development Workshop
Description
This workshop will prepare CCND nursing staff with the knowledge required to create high quality abstracts and posters for submission to professional conferences.
Contact Hours
Contact hours will be awarded to those who attend the entire course and complete and submit the evaluation forms. This activity has been submitted to the Maryland Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. The Maryland Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Program speaker sand coordinators have no relevant financial relationships, conflicts of interest, commercial support or non-commercial sponsorship relating to this course. Target Audience
This course is designed for the nurse who is interested in developing an abstract and/or professional poster for presentation.
Course Objectives
1. Discuss strategies and writing techniques designed improve the organization and quality of an abstract. 2. Describe fundamental poster design concepts, as they relate to developing, and presenting, a high quality professional poster. 3. Apply knowledge of abstract and/or poster design using a simulated or personal professional abstract or poster.
