Class Information for CCND Abstract and Poster Development Workshop
Description
This workshop will prepare CCND nursing staff with the knowledge required to create high quality abstracts and professional posters for submission to professional conferences. The session will also offer instruction about the NIH CCND process and timeline for abstract approval.

The Maryland Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Contact hours will be awarded to those individuals who attend the entire course and complete and submit the evaluation forms.

This course is designed for the nurse who is interested in developing an abstract and/or professional poster for presentation.
Course Objectives
Discuss strategies and writing techniques designed improve the organization and quality of an abstract Review the CCND approval process, with emphasis on abstract approvals Describe fundamental poster design concepts, as they relate to developing, and presenting, a high quality professional poster Apply knowledge of abstract and/or poster design while on a simulated or personal professional abstract or poster
