Class Information for Advanced Endocrine Concepts
Description
This one day course will provide patient care updates related to research findings on various endocrine disorders such as genetic organization of endocrine disorders,adrenal insufficiency, primary pigmented nodular adrenal disease (PPNAD), congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), lipodystropy,Type B insulin resistance, hypoparathyroidism, blood glucose management, and McCune-Albright Syndrome (MAS).

- Review patient care practices for patients with complex endocrine issues such as Lipodystrophy, Hypoparathyroidism, Adrenal Insufficiency, McCune Albright Syndrome and Carney's Complex - Discuss patient education related to diabetes - Identify treatment options for patients with CAH or Carney's Complex
Pre-requisites
Attendance of the CCND Clinical Endocrinology Course or read Chapter One: Principles of Endocrinology in Williams Textbook of Endocrinology, 12th Edition. (2012) by S. Melmed, K. Polonsky and P.
